Monthly Stipend:           Master’s students: 3,000 RMB/month + 500 RMB by Supervisor

                                           Doctoral students: 3,500 RMB/month + 1500 RMB by Institute

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality: Non-Chinese applicants in good health.

Education Requirements:  Master’s applicants must have a bachelor’s degree and be under 35. Ph.D. applicants must have a master’s degree and be under 40.

International Status: Open to students outside China or graduates of Chinese universities.

Required Documents

1. Passport Front Page (Valid for 1 year at least)
2. Highest Degree Notarized (If you are applying for a master’s degree you need a bachelor’s degree, If you are applying for PhD degree you need both a master’s and a bachelor’s degree)

Note: If your degree is not completed yet, You need a HOPE CERTIFICATE from your university. 

1. Transcripts Notarized (If you are applying for a master’s degree you need a bachelor’s degree, If you are applying for a PhD degree you need both a master’s and a bachelor’s degree)
2. Research Proposal (PhD) or Study Plan (Master’s)
3. Motivation Letter (Required by some universities)
4. English Proficiency Certificate
5. Two Recommendation Letters (by Associate Professors at least)
6. Foreigner Physical form
7. Police Clearance Certificate 
8. CV
9. Acceptance Letter (Optional, but mandatory for some universities)

Step-by-Step Process 

1. Go to the CSC portal sign up and then log in at the CSC Online Portal
2. Input Personal Details in the first step
3. Then input Application Information: Select Type B application
4. Then will ask you to write an agency number (the agency number of UCAS is 80001). Every university has an agency number fill that agency number of your university and proceed further.
5. Continue filling all the and at the last step it will ask you to upload documents. Upload all the mentioned documents and submit them.
6. Download this submitted form.
7. Go to your  Official UCAS Portal university’s online portal, every university has its own, visit their website and you will find out there.
8. Similarly, sign up, and then log into the portal fill you all the information, and upload documents as well. On this portal either there will be an option to upload the CSC form that you have downloaded after submitting on the CSC portal or ask for the CSC application number (which is written on the CSC downloaded form)
9. Submit and keep checking your email regularly because during the process many updates the university sends on your email.
10. According to new rules: many universities send you an email with a pre-admission letter after this and again they ask you to log in to the CSC portal and upload there. If you get this email your chances are very high to get the scholarship.
11. Now wait for results (June-July)

Note: If your university requires you to apply first on the university portal then you just apply there first and they will give you a pre-admission letter and then you have to fill it out on the CSC portal. The process is the same as explained above.
