Scholarship Benefits

Full Coverage:  Registration fees, Tuition, and Accommodation.

Medical Insurance: Comprehensive medical coverage is provided.

Monthly Stipend:           Master’s students: 3,000 RMB/month 

                                           Doctoral students: 3,500 RMB/month 

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality: Non-Chinese applicants in good health.

Education Requirements:  Master’s applicants must have a bachelor’s degree and be under 35. Ph.D. applicants must have a master’s degree and be under 40.

International Status: Open to students outside China or graduates of Chinese universities.

USTC offers a wide range of Master’s and Ph.D. programs in both English and Chinese.

Required Documents

1. Passport Front Page (Valid for 1 year at least)
2. Highest Degree Notarized (If you are applying for a master’s degree you need a bachelor’s degree, If you are applying for PhD degree you need both a master’s and a bachelor’s degree)

Note: If your degree has not yet been completed, you need a HOPE CERTIFICATE from your university. 

1. Transcripts Notarized (If you are applying for a master’s degree you need a bachelor’s degree, If you are applying for a PhD degree you need both a master’s and a bachelor’s degree)
2. Research Proposal (PhD) or Study Plan (Master’s)
3. Motivation Letter (Required by some universities)
4. English Proficiency Certificate
5. Two Recommendation Letters (by Associate Professors at least)
6. Foreigner Physical form
7. Police Clearance Certificate 
8. CV
9. Acceptance Letter (Optional, but mandatory for some universities)
